Zenji flava music in Zanzibar started in 1996 as a very small industry. Right know it is really growing because theartists Co-operate making them top among the artists of Tanzania. their beats are attracting and make sense among other artists as well as their message become more attracting to their audiences.

The music is listened within and outside of Zanzibar such as Kenya and Uganda. Some of the artists that are doing good in the Zenji Flava include; AT, Muda cris, Lil Geto, Tani B, Lil Zinho, Suma kopa, Juma20, Berry White, Berry Black, Baby j and Pozi Adimu, .Com, Shaka Zulu, YB, NI, JI and Rama B. Also some of them have their own studios.

Below are some artists with their Profile.  

SULTANI (TANI B)
Tani  a young man who is 25 years old and had the love of music since he was in school. He started  to sing as a Solo artist in different Entertainment place in Zanzibar. This artist is much more better in composing vessels as well as song in general (That’s means hip hop) he is successful because most of his songs are hitting.

In 2000 he established a collection of different singers which was called Of –Side Trick , and there were three people, Tani is the one who is greed able in the societies his first album was called NDANI YA PARTY which gave him a name. Tani sometimes uses his time to hit even mduara of well Hip Hop style. His sound is also Attracting (OF SIDE TRICK  UFUNGAJI WA GOLI HADAA) which means Tani even in his shooting (Videos) become smart. He likes vessels according to the tailent that he has. He is also aware of the kind of clothes that he wears for his shooting.

He believes that he is different with other artist, he doesn’t pretend, he is lovely, he is able to sing different types of song even Indian flava or Arabian flava. 

ALI RAMADHANI ALI (AT)
Ali Ramadhani was nicked AT because of his tallness.
AT is the name that he got from his grand father which means ‘Ali Tall’.

AT has 25 years old, he started music in 2002 together with his aunt's daughter in the group known us latent show, he stated with his first song known as ‘UNANIFATA MIMI’ he succeeded in this song and being acceptable among the singers, he is more aware and knowing what he teachs the societies he also likes to take the beat from the old local songs.

AT is a solo artist. There are many songs that had hit in his album so much AT(Ali Tall) also expects to call his group PWANI.

AWADH HAROUN (LILL ZINYO)
Lil Zinho is an artist who is 23 years old, he started this game in 2005.
He succeeded to have alot of songs in his album, he works best in his song. He also stands as a solo artist, in his albam there are the songs like BABA  FT Snaa Lee, BABA REMIX FT Maliqwaly, SIWEZI FT Muda Cris, NAUMIA FT AT, NYAPALA, BARUA FT Muda Cris, SIKU YA KWANZA FT JI and B-Rymes Lil zinho is best artist in zenjiflava music, he also compose his songs with out help and his common producer is chidi(Lil Geto).

(BLACK UNIT)
Black unity established with artist who known as Suma kopa, a young man who is about 21 years old. He stands as a solo Artist.

He finished school in 2001 and totally started music in 2003 with his group known as BLACK UNIT. Their first song was called ‘NJOO’ hitting in 2004, he sang the song like ndani ya party that formed by 3 people in that album.Their album has 10 songs, black unity was well known when they sang the song ‘SISTER DU” in 2007. They succeed to get their own studies also they were succeeded to be invited in different festivals such as fiesta,  Boda 2 Boda and others.

Suma's talent is not refused because he comes from the family which is up talent, he is the second born child of Bi khadija kopa, who is the famous singer of Taarabu music in Zanzibar and mainland who known as ‘Malkia wa Mipasho also his late brother Omar Kopa who was the artist of taarabu in Zanzibar. Suma kopa is talent artist in composing song also he does best in song together with his fellow known as Omari Ali (KIRA KIRARI)
